3+1 tipy, ako nakupovať (nielen) vo výpredajoch
It's that time of year when signs like "discount", "offer", "sale" or "SALE" pop up everywhere. That's why now is the ideal time to renew your wardrobe. No, we don't want to talk you into mindless purchases of things that will only take up space in your closet. On the contrary, we want your wardrobe to be full of high-quality and timeless pieces that you will wear and enjoy for many years. The fact that you can buy them now at a bargain price is just a nice bonus. So slow down, here are our tips on what and how to shop (and not only) in summer sales so that your wallet, the environment, or the people who make your clothes don't suffer.

Timelessness

The first step you should take before shopping at sales is to look into your closet and assess the condition of the pieces in it, what you're missing, what you no longer wear... Everyone probably knows that the foundation of a wardrobe should be timeless pieces that can be easily combined and look stylish.

We have already written about five pieces that should definitely not be missing in a men's wardrobe . So we should have the basics of a wardrobe. So look around in sales for proven pieces that have already "fallen out" of your basics, whether due to a change in clothing size or you have simply "worn them out". However, a men's wardrobe should not be boring either, so feel free to loosen up a little and get a bold shirt to combine with plain trousers, or a stylish polo shirt , perfect for summer days. During cooler summer evenings, a light jacket will save you.

Quality

Quality materials last longer. It's a fact. We know, maybe at first glance you feel better if you have dozens of different shirts and wear a different one every day. But what's important is how, what materials they are made of – they strangle you, but you forgive them because they didn't cost that much, after a few washes they shrink/lose their color/shape, but they didn't cost that much... Maybe you don't regret throwing away a cheap piece and getting a new one. Leaving aside the fact that such shopping is not economical (or ecological), let's move on to practical reasons.

We men (mostly) really buy on impulse and we don't like running around the shops every time we throw out a poor-quality piece of clothing from our wardrobe. We want quality clothes that will be with us for many years, we want certainty, we want a brand that once it fits us, we won't let go of it - because we know what it sells, and that the quality is worth the higher price.
Look at the tags not only for the price, but also for the material composition of the pieces of clothing you like. And once you find a quality that will last you for years, don't let it go.

Sustainability

The conditions in which many fashion brands produce their clothes are often very poor. Just take a closer look at this topic and you will get information that will make you never look at your clothes the same way again. In 2013, a huge tragedy occurred when more than 1,000 people died and hundreds more were injured after a terrible collapse of a textile factory in Bangladesh. Every year in April, during Fashion Revolution Week, we remember the victims of this tragedy. However, the fight for transparency, ethics and sustainability in the fashion industry should not last only one week a year.

As a manufacturer of men's clothing, we also approach our products responsibly and as ecologically as possible all year round. We select materials that are not only of high quality, but also come from responsible factories that take the environment into account. The certifications that these materials have guarantee that they are not harmful to people or the environment. We also believe that you, our customers, are interested in who and under what conditions our/your clothing was made. That is why we are happy to take you behind the scenes so that you can experience the story with your clothing from the very beginning.

Repairability, upcycling, recycling

When sorting through your wardrobe, don't forget one important thing - many damaged pieces of clothing can be repaired or sewn back together. If your favorite piece has only a small flaw, but you don't want to give it up, find a tailor, skilled hands can fix minor flaws in no time. Feel free to return to any of our stores with your clothing from our brand and we will take care of the repair.
Clothing itself is difficult to recycle, in fact it is almost impossible, that is why there is so-called upcycling – sewing existing (perhaps damaged, perhaps no longer suitable) pieces of clothing into something else – better, more beautiful. If you have decided to say goodbye to your shirt/pants/jacket/whatever, don't throw it in the trash. Bring it to a second-hand store, participate in a swap (clothing exchange) or use special baskets for textile waste ( Ekocharita or Humana ). We wrote about what we do with unsold or slightly damaged clothing that can no longer be sold in this article .
