Ako sa obliecť na ples? Páni, s týmto návodom zažiarite
Prom season is in full swing, and while ladies are "enjoying" the opportunity to dress beautifully, many of us gentlemen are once again holding our heads in our hands and fumbling in a tangle of concepts and rules. That's why we're here for you again. We've compiled the simplest guide to how to cope with the prom dress code in the most stylish way possible.

Tuxedo, tuxedo, tuxedo

Tuxedo

Black tie, or tuxedo, is the most traditional choice. If you want to look elegant, like James Bond, read on. Not only does it look great, it can also be used in the future, for example, to the opera or the theater. If you want to follow the dress code, a simple tuxedo with a black bow tie is your only option. However, if you want to add a little color to your outfit, you can highlight it with a colorful sash and bow tie, which will add a little fantasy.

But what about the lapel?

Every good tuxedo has a shiny silk lapel and either a shawl or peaked lapel. A peaked lapel is a good choice if you want to look more stylish and modern, while a shawl lapel is an elegant choice, especially for older men. The only big NO in the world of Black tie is the classic, suit lapel. That's why you should let your black suit rest in the closet during the ball.

So black is the only option?

Tuxedo

However, black tie does not mean a black suit! The only thing that is strictly written in the rules is a black bow tie and a white shirt. You can happily maneuver with the rest of the things as you like. However, you are going to a highly social evening, so it is appropriate to show yourself in the best possible light. If you belong to the more conservative types, a black or midnight blue tuxedo is ideal.
To leave nothing to chance, consult your partner, women have more refined taste. We can also help you with a suit according to your wishes, you can find out more on our website , or write us a message.

How about something a little more daring?

Burgundy jacket

If you dare to be extravagant, a shiny velvet or patterned jacket will guarantee that all eyes will be on you. Whether it's black, burgundy or navy, it doesn't matter. OK, maybe we should avoid yellow...

Add a white shirt with a subtle shiny pattern to the jacket, plain black trousers and the fun can begin. Above all, don't forget the cufflinks!

But I'm going to a ball at the Opera in Vienna, you didn't help me at all!

If you are one of the lucky ones who goes to a ball where White tie is required, know that just as with Black tie you must have a black bow tie, with White tie it is mandatory to have a white bow tie. However, White tie does not simply mean tying a white bow tie with a tuxedo, you need to wear a tailcoat - you know, that long jacket that resembles penguins. However, White tie is mainly intended for occasions where at least the president or the British Queen will be present, so we will not force you to keep a tailcoat hanging in your wardrobe.
