Ako sa starať o svoje duševné zdravie
Each of us sometimes has a bad day, we don't enjoy anything, we don't succeed... Even the pandemic period, which has changed the lives of many of us by 180 degrees, can shake up feelings and add worries, frustration, suffering, fear. It's not easy to get rid of negative feelings, but sometimes little things can help us bring back the positive ones. We've put together some quick first aid tips for the soul that you can use for yourself and your loved ones, as well as ways to stay mentally healthy no matter what's going on in your life.

Think about your comfort

What does well-being look like to you? Do you need 8 hours of sleep, regular meals, and time for yourself? Try to give yourself what you need. If that's all you can do, plan when you need to go to bed so that you wake up refreshed in the morning, and book time for meals and time for yourself in your calendar, even if it means spending it doing nothing. Do what you love - whether it's reading books, watching TV series, or anything else.

Go into nature

Even long-term home office certainly takes its toll on many. Try to spend some time each week (ideally every day) outside, in nature. Change your environment, take a walk, breathe fresh air, and forget about your responsibilities.

Take up some sport

Regular exercise helps you concentrate better and has benefits not only for our body but also for our soul. Choose a sport that you enjoy, and at the same time sort out your thoughts in your head. Maybe you will get new ideas. And if, on the contrary, you need to completely reset your head, treat yourself to it and don't think about anything.

Socialize remotely

Working from home, no cultural activities, social isolation - the pandemic does not encourage socializing. Fortunately, there are now several ways to connect with the people we love. Phone calls, long messages, and video calls will alleviate your feelings of loneliness.

Relax.

Give yourself space to just be with yourself. Turn off your laptop, mobile phone, TV and focus on your feelings and thoughts. If being alone with yourself is impossible due to family obligations, at least turn off electronics and focus on your partner and children. This will also help you relax and break free from the stereotype.

Don't be shy to ask for help.

If your feelings of anxiety, uncertainty, and sadness persist and are affecting your work performance, relationships, and life, talk to someone you trust. If negative feelings are long-term in your life, don't be afraid to seek professional help. Sometimes it's not easy, but it can be a great help.
