Ako sa stať štýlovým chlapíkom
Adam "Rustman" Suchánek, photographer, blogger and one of the best dressed men you can meet on the streets of Bratislava, visited the pages of our Alain Delon Magazine with his pen. With the charm typical of his personality, he showed us a few tips on what to do when someone wants to change their dressing style. Enjoyable reading. Let's start with the harsh truth: Most men in our country have no style. Slovaks are, to put it mildly, practical, they usually want everything in their closet to match everything, and for it to be as cheap as possible. Moreover, I think they are a little afraid of standing out from the crowd. That's why we have an army of identically dressed guys, whose taste ends in two or three mass fashion chains. If you don't want to be boring and average, you've come to the right place, Rustman will help you!

Classic men's style

One way you can do something about it is to try to dress like a grown man. That's my own term for classic menswear, or if you want classic men's style. Suits and all that. I'm assuming that if you're reading this article, you probably already have an idea. But where do you start? Let's say you already have one dark suit and a white shirt. Okay, but what next? What are the options and where can you get them?

Are jeans a slur?

Most Alain Delon customers buy a black or dark blue suit. Especially men under forty don't even look around for anything more interesting. It's hard to say what it is. Probably a combination of a lack of tradition and, until recently, a rather poor selection. Moreover, no matter what we do, jeans and a T-shirt from a foreign chain will always be cheaper than a good jacket and quality trousers from an honest manufacturer. But the effect will be the same. Cheaper. I don't mean to say that wearing jeans is stupid, I often wear them myself, but wearing them every day for the rest of my life is a missed opportunity. Namely, in our country, where classic menswear is worn by a minimum of men, this situation can be very advantageous. Because when you wear something different from most others, you will attract attention. And if you don't "screw it up" too much, everyone will perceive you somehow more positively. Of course, there are many ways to stand out, but if you're a classic person like me, classic adult men's fashion is the perfect choice for you. Today we'll show you that you don't have to look archaic or boring in it.

Above all, don't be afraid of a jacket

It's not some shapeless, stuffed piece of junk, it's a basic piece of clothing that will make your shoulders bigger and your waist smaller. And that's what you want. A good cut will enhance your figure and since it's usually the most expensive part, you'll also send a signal that your look is more valuable to you than a five-euro T-shirt. If you already have a standard suit, maybe it's time to buy a more expressive jacket. It doesn't have to be overly extravagant, you can start with a classic blue color, but with a pattern. Checks or stripes are always good. For summer, you can try a linen one, like the one I'm wearing. This material breathes and you won't sweat like you would in a polyester one. Don't worry, a linen jacket should be slightly wrinkled, at least everyone can see that you know your way around fabrics and know when to wear what.

Don't forget the accessories

Chelsea boots

Once you've put this ensemble together and it seems a bit boring, you can liven it up with shoes and accessories. They can significantly rejuvenate an outfit. A great choice for cool spring days are chelsea boots, currently in suede and light colors.
Or try these cool loafers when it gets warmer. Feel free to skip the socks.

Loafers

Don't forget to add a fancy handkerchief to your jacket, it will elevate it even more. If you want to show that you are completely above the matter and a terrible rebel, wear pink, for example. That was a joke, of course, you would be a rebel if you wore a rag that was dirty with oil, for example. Anyway, you don't need to be afraid of pink in small quantities either, it won't make you a lesser man.

Pink handkerchief

Once you have summer shoes, you can skip the sweater and it's still good. So, are we going to make Slovaks stylish men? If you've read this far, I have hope for you. I'm not saying that classic menswear is the only option. The important thing is not to be afraid to dress differently than most and to find your own taste. You'll discover the benefits yourself.
