Just like in gastronomy, in the fashion industry, if you want to create quality, you have to use quality ingredients. At Alain Delon , we strive to ensure that every piece of our/your clothing brings you joy for many years. That is why we carefully select high-quality and certified materials from our long-standing partners in Europe, and meticulously design our collections with an eye not only to fashion trends, but also to practicality and wearability.
Before clothes reach store windows and our e-shop pages, they go through a long process. Come and take a look into our "kitchen" and see how our/your clothes are created from the very beginning.
Of course, we look at different things for each type of product, a dressed jacket "behaves" differently and a polo shirt differently, but the essence is the same everywhere - we want the best quality for you.
We sew shirts from materials from the Getzner company, founded in 1818. The family-owned company GETZNER TEXTIL AG. is today one of the best manufacturers of shirt materials. Thanks to the combination of traditional cotton processing with modern technologies, the material is not only of first-class quality, but also comfortable to wear and easy to maintain.
You can most often buy wool suits from us, made from wool by the Italian company Zignone , founded in 1868, which is one of the most renowned manufacturers of wool fabrics.
And for example, the linen jackets from our current collection also come from Italy, where the Ormezzano brand produces materials for the most renowned fashion houses around the world, while still maintaining the quality values that the Ormezzano founders themselves instilled in the company back in 1924.
We try to buy materials in smaller batches in several types so that the offer in our stores is sufficiently varied.
Only after the models pass the "test" will we place an order with the exact number of models in individual cuts and sizes in our partner factories ( we wrote about shirts here and about suits and jackets here ). Here we base our decisions on sales statistics, our stocks and market needs. It's a complete alchemy, but our creative director Ján Smatana could tell you about it. Read an older interview with him in our Journal .
Quality is our top priority
Time flows a little differently in the fashion industry, collections of major fashion houses are prepared several months to several years in advance. We try to optimize our inventory according to your interests, and not to create unnecessary textile waste , so we minimize the time for preparing new collections. Despite this, our designers select materials a year before you see them in the store. They visit the Première Vision fair in Paris , the international men's fashion exhibition Pitti Uomo in Florence , and exhibitions in Berlin. Brand companies exhibit at these exhibitions, presenting trends a year in advance regarding the types and quality of materials, color design, patterns, cuts, and technological processing of models.
Our suppliers
We have been cooperating for many years with suppliers of quality materials who take the environment into account. The certifications that these materials have guarantee that they are not harmful to people or the environment . And these are our most frequent suppliers of materials.
We care about details.
After selecting the right "ingredients", they are processed into cuts. Our main designer draws, combines and fine-tunes individual details - for shirts, for example, the type of collar, the shape of the cuffs or the color of the buttons... For suits, the length of the jacket, the width of the lapels, the fastening (single-breasted, double-breasted), the number of buttons, the vents, the lower width of the trousers... The internal processing of the models is also important - the quality, color and processing of the lining for jackets or coats , but also the processing of the inside without lining or with semi-lining. For pullovers and sweaters, we take into account the winter or summer character, which is reflected in the weight of the yarn used (cotton, cashmere, wool, acrylic...), knitting patterns, the shape of the neckline (for example, O or V)...
We test the samples ourselves
We "sample" each model to have a concrete idea with all the details. We then assess not only the appearance of the individual models, but also their functionality and comfort when wearing. The opinion is not subjective, you, our customers, are also involved in the assessment through our sales assistants. Thanks to them, we know what you like, what comments you had on previous models, and we adapt new collections to your demand as much as possible. We even wear some models as samples ourselves so that we know exactly how they "wear", how they react, and how to care for this material.
