France, Paris. Mecca of style and dressing. Few nations can create a work of art from a few pieces of their clothing, which in the whirlwind of the big city seems nonchalant, but always perfect. Their style is a unique blend of Italian charm and British elegance. And that is why Parisians are the right people in their place for all questions about fashion. We brought one of them directly from the French capital for you. We exchanged a few words with our new colleague Alain so that you too can gather courage and share your fashion worries with him.
Alain, welcome to Slovakia. First of all, tell us how you are enjoying your first few weeks here.
Merci! Unfortunately, I haven't seen much since my arrival, because I've been working full-time since day one. Christmas is approaching faster than the TGV from Geneva, so from morning to night I'm advising on what nice and stylish things Slovaks can give their loved ones under the tree.
How would you describe the style of Slovak men?
I must say that Slovaks are a truly courageous nation, they are not afraid to experiment. My specialty is men's style, I focus mainly on it, but I also notice beautiful ladies who are often cut out of fashion blogs... But back to the gentlemen, I see that in Slovakia men like to go out dressed casually, which is not bad at all. A nice shirt, blue denim and a jacket that fits perfectly are often much more interesting than a boring, ill-fitting suit. It is clear that gentlemen here like to combine interesting colors and, unlike other more conservative nationalities, are not afraid to wear distinctive pieces such as checked jackets.

Ooo, well, that would be a novel. Of course, I've only been in Slovakia for a short time, so for now people are mainly asking me about Christmas gifts. But I'm very happy to help with any questions about fashion. They can ask me how to tie a tie, a bow tie, or how to dress for a wedding or a job interview. In short, anything, I'll be available.
