However, there are days when, after closing your laptop, you really just want to move your body to the couch, put your feet up, and turn on something on the TV. Streaming services are currently experiencing a big boom and their offer is constantly growing. We have prepared a small selection of series for you that will provide you with mental rest after work, entertain you, and maybe even keep you in suspense.
You Should Have Known (The Undoing, HBO GO)
Set in New York City, this drama-thriller follows Grace (Nicole Kidman), a successful therapist, her husband, Jonathan (Hugh Grant), a renowned pediatric oncologist, and their son. Their seemingly idyllic life is turned upside down after the brutal murder of a young woman and Jonathan's disappearance. Grace discovers that her life is not what she thought it was.
The series was based on the book of the same name by writer Jean Hanff Korelitz. The opening song for the series, "Dream a little dream of me," was sung by Nicole Kidman herself.
Normal People (HBO GO)
His mother cleans Marianne's mother's house, and when Connel comes to pick her up, a special and strong bond develops between them. Their relationship develops and changes over the years, just like their lives. At university, Marianne is a star, but Connel somehow doesn't know how to fit in.
The series was based on the book by author Sally Rooney.
Lupin (Lupin, Netflix)
The French series inspired by the book hero Arsène Lupin by writer Mauricia LeBanc is a detective story with a truly modern twist. Netflix has decided to split the first 10-episode series into two parts, the first 5 episodes are already available to watch.
Stewardess (The Flight Attendant, HBO GO)
Back home in New York, FBI agents search for her and her colleagues to question them about their stopover in Dubai. Cassandra then sets out on her own to piece together the pieces of the fateful night, and her own life.
The eight-part series is inspired by the novel by Chris Bohjalian.
Emily in Paris (Netflix)
The attractive environment of a marketing agency combined with an inspiring French city, original costumes, and a life in which Emily deals with relationships, work, and even some awkwardness are an ideal after-work relaxation.
The first season has 10 approximately 30-minute episodes, and Netflix has confirmed that there will be a second season.
