It's been a while since fashion gurus from all over the world have been shouting "this summer is all about bold patterns". Okay, big floral patterns are something that looks good on the pages of a glossy magazine, on a model styled by a team of professionals. A normal, everyday guy from the street must look like a clown in those things... Or not?
Alain Delon Magazine is once again coming to the rescue and in our latest Style Guide we will show you the exact opposite, we have taken our model from the ranks of ordinary gentlemen to convince you that bold patterns belong in everyone's wardrobe. Stop being afraid and start having fun with fashion!

A weekend in nature ahead!
The golden equation for bold prints is: Printed shirt = Solid pants + Solid jacket. Since it's been really hot outside lately, the only thing you have to worry about this weekend is your shirt and pants combination. That's why summer casual outfits are the easiest way to start with bold patterns.
Your patterned shirt will easily pair with solid pants and neutral shoes. You can get bonus points if the color of the shoes and pants also appears in the color of the prints.
If you water your garden, it will bloom beautifully.
Just like a flower bed can bloom with a little work, so can your outfit. You just need to be ready to take it to the next level. Bold colors work magic with prints, the key is again the good old rule of Printed shirt = Solid pants + solid jacket. A red or bright blue jacket is literally begging for a floral shirt, but again, make sure you have at least a hint of one of the colors in the shirt.
And what about trousers in this case? You can't go wrong with white. Not only does it go great with almost any print, it also elegantly complements the outfit and doesn't disrupt it.
Don't hide prints in your wardrobe for the weekend!
So bold prints are a natural part of your weekend wardrobe, right? Try swapping out your suit shirt for a bold print. We guarantee that your work outfit will instantly take on a whole new character. Suits look their best with a paisley print, which is easier than basic math to combine. Just stick to the color of your suit and choose a shirt with a tone-on-tone print. You’ll instantly transform a boring work outfit into a new dimension, showing your colleagues that an evening drink with you will definitely be worth it.
Summer at work? Cool.
If you show up to the office in the summer without a jacket in a suit shirt, you look like you forgot it at the bar last night. Swap out your white shirt for a bold one and suddenly you're the star of a fashion magazine, looking modern but still elegant... No one wants to sit in a jacket in the summer, so leave it at home and just air out your suit pants. A jacket tucked away in the closet gives you a great opportunity to show off your printed shirts. Plus, rules are meant to be broken, so when you feel like it, forget about what we wrote in the introduction. Pair a bold shirt with checked suit pants. Just remember to keep the check in the dominant color of the shirt and the rest of the pants in a solid color, preferably in a solid gray or navy.
You see, we just solved the age-old problem of dressing for work in the summer months.
