The start of a new season always brings with it changes. Every four months there is a chance to close out the old and look forward to something new. Plus, fall is especially good for new additions to your wardrobe, as the cold weather directly encourages you to take inventory of your closets.
Originally, we wanted to inspire you today on how to spend cold autumn weekends in comfort and style. How to go out on a day off, have breakfast and coffee or tea at your favorite restaurant. However, since it unfortunately looks like we are slowly but surely starting to move from offices to kitchens or living rooms again during the workweek, know that you can easily apply these tips to quick grocery shopping, takeaway coffee, or a walk around the apartment building. Go for it.
We would like to thank DANJEL'S coffee & more for providing the space for the photo shoot.
Warm up to the neck
The good old turtleneck is often the choice of bohemians or artists. Even we have used this comparison in the past and advised that you, creatives, try replacing your shirt with a turtleneck for work. But now the time has come for the turtleneck to penetrate the wardrobe of others as well. Accountants, carpenters or bankers, you don't have to be afraid of it anymore. We know that the turtleneck may not be for everyone at first glance, but you would be hard-pressed to find a more practical piece of clothing for the winter, regardless of whether you are going to work, walking around city cafes or in the park. Not only will your neck stay warm, but you will also look super stylish. Complete your turtleneck outfit with a short sporty bomber jacket and the perfect smart casual combination is born.
Like at home
Few things evoke a rainy, lazy weekend more than a classic pullover. Wrapping yourself up in a plush blanket and just rolling around on the couch in front of the TV... What could be better? And if you need to lift your little one off the couch for a moment, how about swapping out your old promotional sweatshirt for something newer, more modern? Fit is important, it's true that oversize is in now, but the right slim fit will be in fashion for much longer. Throw on a short bomber jacket and slim jeans and you won't get lost in the grocery store, in your favorite café, or in the evening at a wine bar.
Winter in the city
When the cold weather hits, we all pull out our down jackets , which often make us look a bit like snowmen. But there's one perfect alternative that will magically transform you from a lost skier to the best-dressed guy in the whole wide world. The "sheepskin" double-breasted jacket is great with jeans and a sweater, unbuttoned or buttoned up - simply perfect.
A little more color
If smart casual (read: shirt and jeans) is part of your everyday workday, you might be wondering why not just go all the time. But change is life, so why not change your week-long stereotype a little at least on the weekend. Try leaving your classic jeans at home and instead venture into something completely different, like a good old-fashioned manchester. You won't be cold on your trip, and you'll still look great. If you feel like it, it's great to add something interesting to every outfit, whether it's a patterned shirt or a bold color sweater. This way you'll end up with a smart casual outfit that you might end up liking so much that you'll wear it to work on Monday.
But a classic is always a classic.
However, no matter how much we try to mix and match bold colors, the truth is that blue is a safe choice, always and everywhere. So if you're one of those who really doesn't want to think about what to wear during the week, let alone the weekend, you'll never be disappointed with blue. And if you don't want to be a complete sportsman, try breaking up your jeans and jacket with a striped cotton sweater , just to make it look a little bit different.
