Wedding season is upon us again. Invitations are piling up in mailboxes, and the whirlwind of wedding ceremonies will keep many of us entertained on weekends until at least the end of summer. However, with so many dress rules and dress codes, a gentleman can easily get confused about what to wear to such a wedding... Fortunately, Alain Delon Journal is here again to lend you a helping hand and show you that weddings are the place where you can really shake off formalities like the dress code. Here are four outfits that will make you the star of any summer wedding. And you don't even have to be the groom!

Blue is good

Blue suit

Your wedding day should be a happy day. So why wear something as sad as black or navy blue? A bright blue, like this suit, will give your wedding outfit a hint of summer freshness, but still look really classy. Combine it with a white dress shirt, which will give the suit a festive touch. If you're feeling bold, tie a bow tie that will catch everyone's eye. Why not a green one, for example? You see, it works!

Air out the tuxedo

Tuxedo

Tuxedos shouldn't be put away in the closet waiting for your next ball. One of the easiest and best wedding hacks is to swap out your white tuxedo shirt for a bold color. Wake your tuxedo up from its winter slumber with a pink, blue, or gray shirt, pair it with a patterned bow tie and pocket square that incorporate the shirt's colors, and hit the dance floor like never before.

Patterns, patterns, patterns

Patterned shirt

Patterned shirts are all the rage this season, so why stick to tradition at weddings? As a guest, you're supposed to be having fun, and a colorful shirt is a way to start before you even get to the venue. Don't be afraid to pair it with a colorful bow tie, but keep in mind that your suit should be simple and solid, or you risk being walked out by the bride. For example, a pale blue with a subtle hint of gray will add freshness to any summer wedding without being too much of a draw.

Gray shines

Gray suit

There's gray, and then there's gray. A dark gray suit that you normally wear to work will make you look like a weirdo who barged into a wedding reception on your way home from work. Leave your work suits where they belong on the weekend, in the closet. A light gray version paired with a soft yellow shirt is a different story. Show that you're a man of good taste, not a guy who's just going to a job interview. A bold tie is more than appropriate in this case and will guarantee you curious looks from everyone around you.
