Ako prežiť leto v meste?
The two months we look forward to all year long offer a deceptive vision of beaches, mixed drinks and music festivals, but in reality we spend most of our time cooped up in cold offices or glued to the glass of crowded city traffic.

As children, we lived in the illusion of a long, carefree summer, which every year represented the perfect escape from reality. Despite the reality that we hide from for a maximum of ten days in Croatia, we can make the daily hardships of the city more pleasant as best we can. And where else to start than with clothes? Gentlemen, say goodbye to sweaty shirts, here is a guide on how to survive the summer in the city in comfort and style.

Jacket out of obligation

When the thermometer crosses the magical thirty, jackets become enemy number one for even the most ardent supporters of formal fashion. However, if you can't get out from under a heavy jacket, airy materials like linen or cotton will be your friends. At the same time, don't let the lining interfere with your comfort and look for unlined options.
And if your work dress code allows, bright colors are a stylish choice. It's summer, so relax a bit, roll up your sleeves , and get to work.

Shirt or polo shirt?

Everyone is in a better mood in the summer. We guarantee that even your boss is not immune to the endorphins brought on by increased vitamin D intake, which is why it's the perfect time to swap out your shirt for something nice and summery. A polo shirt is a great compromise between smart and casual dressing and is perfect not only for the beach but also for work during the summer.

However, leave the bold patterns and inscriptions at home and choose something solid in combination with pale chinos, which will give the outfit the appropriate seriousness. If you belong to the lucky group of the population with a slim figure, there is nothing wrong with tucking your polo shirt into your pants exactly like a shirt . But remember that the collar should remain down.

Shorts – yes or no?

The temptation to ditch everything and just throw on shorts lurks within each of us. And while shorts can be styled just as well as a suit, it's still a non-standard thing in our part of the world. So play it safe and wear long pants to work. But leave the jeans in the closet this time. We've all made that fatal mistake once and gone out into the scorching sun in denim, which suddenly turned into hot lava hugging our legs. Reach for light linen chinos. Beige, blue, or even white are exactly what you need in the summer. All you have to do is roll up your pants , expose a little ankle and you can go anywhere.

Feet deserve a break too

Even if you wear invisible slippers instead of socks, it's still difficult to walk even a few meters in oxfords in the tropical heat. Instead, go for something more airy that's quick to put on and take off, such as suede driving shoes. If you're going for a sporty look, there's nothing better for summer than a pair of timeless white sneakers .
