Ako sme vdýchli nový život nenosenému oblečeniu
The problems associated with the fashion industry are increasingly resonating in society. First of all, there is the huge overproduction of clothing, but the problem is also the inhumane conditions in factories in some parts of the world, the poor quality and harmful materials from which clothes are sewn, the carbon footprint that the distribution of clothing from the other side of the globe leaves behind, and much more. However, the scandals of global luxury brands that burn their undamaged and unsold clothes en masse are also resonating, just to maintain their exclusivity and not sell goods below value. We try to communicate openly with you, our customers. In several articles from behind the scenes of the brand, we have already told you more about the materials we use to make our clothes, how we approach creating collections , who makes our/your clothes... But we haven't yet told you what happens to the "older" clothes that are replaced by new ones in stores.

What's up with the clothes?

Thanks to systematic and thoughtful production, we have almost no unsold clothes in stock. We design collections with regard not only to fashion trends, but also to practicality and wearability. We try to optimize our stock according to customer interest, which is why we create collections as soon as possible in advance. We purchase materials in smaller batches in several types so that the offer in our stores is sufficiently varied. The brand's collections are regularly updated in stores. Older products are being sold in outlet stores and are still available in our e-shop . In the 20 years of the company's operation in Slovakia, it has naturally happened that some pieces of clothing have been withdrawn from sale - minor damages that occur, for example, when changing mannequins do not devalue the clothing so much that it is burned, thrown away or otherwise destroyed, but it can no longer be sold. At least not in this form.

A new clothing story

We have been dedicated to sustainability since our inception, and for many years we have been cooperating with local European suppliers of quality materials who take the environment into account. The certifications that these materials have guarantee that they are not harmful to people or the environment. We produce in Slovakia so that we can guarantee the quality that we stand for. That is why we thought about how not to keep wearable clothing in storage unnecessarily, but to give it a new life. A new story. And so our cooperation with NOSENE began. In NOSENE second-hand stores you won't find any discarded clothes that you have to rummage through. There are fragrant pieces that also help. From every purchase, NOSENE sends a portion of the sales price to support organizations helping abused women. In addition to "classic" clothing, they also create a unique upcycled collection Renewals by NOSENE. Upcycled models, each of which is unique, are stitched and remade with zero waste cuts. They are created from damaged men's shirts, denim, leftover materials and fabrics.

Renewals by NOSENE x ALAIN DELON

The Renewals by NOSENE x ALAIN DELON women's collection was created from Alain Delon men's shirts. Locally, in Slovakia. It is high-quality and stylish. The collection includes 4 models, each of which is designed in a clean design. Their variability allows each model to be worn in at least 2 ways. They are comfortable and suitable for different types of events. Each piece is original. The unique models from this collection can currently only be purchased online at the NOSENE e-shop . Don't hesitate to buy, the number of models is limited. The cooperation between ALAIN DELON and NOSENE is not a one-off and will continue. New models will appear on sale continuously. The RENEWALS by NOSENE x ALAIN DELON collection is our second women's collection after the KIMLICKA for ALAIN DELON collection.

Fashion Revolution Week

It is no coincidence that the Renewals by NOSENE x ALAIN DELON collection has been on sale since this week in April. Right now, Fashion Revolution Week is underway, when on the one hand we remember the victims of the horrific collapse of a textile factory in Bangladesh (in 2013), which killed more than 1,000 people and injured hundreds more, and on the other hand we fight even more intensely than the rest of the year for transparency, ethics and sustainability in the fashion industry.
