What is a lounge suite?

Where is it worn?
A lounge suit is typical for daytime social events – such as early weddings , formal lunches , or events where class and style are expected.
What to wear?
Dark blue, gray, or subtly patterned in lighter materials if it's a daytime or summer event. The cut should fit well – tailored, but not too formal.
Double-breasted jackets are also a popular element of the lounge suit, which will take the outfit to the next level.
Light – ideally white, light blue or with a subtle pattern. A more modern approach could also include a turtleneck or a knit polo shirt .
Necessary, but it doesn't have to be boring – silky or textured fabrics are welcome.
Leather, lace-up oxfords or derbies in dark brown or black, depending on the shade of the suit.
Pocket square, cufflinks, quality watch. Individuality is welcome in a lounge suit.
What to avoid?
A black suit – it looks too formal or businesslike.
Business look – a lounge suit is not an office. Avoid the “office” style.
For the lazy approach – a lounge suit is not “a little bit more casual.” It’s a thoughtful and complete outfit.
