Ako si vybrať oblečenie podľa materiálového zloženia

Quality raw materials are the basis of any product. It is the same in the fashion industry, where quality materials, their precise processing into the final fashion piece and proper care are a guarantee of a long service life. How you feel in clothes is not only influenced by a well-fitting cut, but especially by the material from which the clothes are sewn. See what materials we sew our collections from.

Shirts

To make you feel your best in a shirt , it should be made of natural material that is breathable and comfortable to wear. Such as cotton. Cotton Cotton is probably the most widely used material in the fashion industry. It belongs to natural fabrics, its fibers are obtained from the fruits of the cotton bush. It is very water-intensive, up to 10,000 liters of water are needed to produce 1 kg of cotton (global average). At the same time, a large number of pesticides and insecticides are used to combat pests during its cultivation, which contain various harmful substances. These have a negative impact on the environment and the health of the farmers themselves. Since the situation with such cotton cultivation is unsustainable, the non-profit organization Better Cotton Initiative BCI (Initiative for a More Responsible Cotton) has been trying to improve the growing conditions for farmers and its environmental impact since 2005. Organic cotton is grown without synthetic sprays and on soil that has not been treated with pesticides or insecticides for at least 3 years. Such soil has more nutrients and retains moisture better, so fewer liters of water are needed for irrigation. However, growing the same amount of cotton organically requires a much larger area of fertile land, which is reflected in the final price of organic cotton .

The positive properties of cotton include its good tolerance to high washing temperatures, which is why it is also used to make bed linen, for example. Its disadvantage is creasing, which can be easily solved by ironing, as cotton tolerates high temperatures well even when ironing.

Our shirts are made of 100% cotton from Getzner, Sidogras or Tekstina. All companies are very concerned about the environment and the sustainability of their products. The cotton we purchase from them has several certificates confirming that it is grown in a gentle and responsible manner not only towards nature but also towards people.

Linen In addition to cotton shirts, our summer collections also include shirts made of linen , which is an ideal material for warm days. It is light, breathable and pleasant to the skin. Linen, like cotton, is a natural material - it is obtained from the stalk of the flax plant. In the past, flax was a very important agricultural crop. Archaeological finds in our territory indicate the use of flax, flax seeds and linen textiles since the beginning of the 4th century. It was used to make a fine fabric from which bed linen, towels, tablecloths, curtains, holiday clothes and other clothing were sewn. Today, it is less widespread, but thanks to its good properties, it is one of the popular summer materials. It has good thermoregulatory abilities, absorbs and dissipates moisture and heat well, and therefore warms in winter and pleasantly cools in summer. Its disadvantage is creasing, but since it is its natural property, it usually doesn't look bad on clothes. In addition to shirts, linen is often a part of our suits, trousers and jackets. Thanks to its properties, these pieces become very pleasant to wear, and since linen is one of the most ecological materials, is the strongest and strongest natural fiber and its properties even improve with use and time, it is definitely the right investment. Try our stretch shirts made of 100% cotton, which, thanks to their anti-wrinkle treatment, do not need to be ironed. They are comfortable as a T-shirt, practical and for all weathers.

Suits and jackets

The basic "division" of our suits according to material composition is a suit made of wool and a suit made of a mixture of materials . Wool The advantages of a wool suit are undeniable - since it is a natural material, it has several positives. Wool , which is obtained from the fur of animals repeatedly throughout their lives by shearing or combing, is breathable and has thermal insulation and thermoregulation properties . Thanks to the lanolin content and the structure of the fiber, wool does not get wet as easily as, for example, synthetic fiber. It has antibacterial properties and thanks to this, wool clothing does not smell even after several uses. The structure of the wool fiber causes a self-cleaning effect. That is why we recommend cleaning wool suits only by "airing" them. You can find more about caring for not only wool clothing in this article .

Our suits, jackets and coats are made from high-quality sheep's wool (or Merino wool from Merino sheep) or cashmere from Cashmere goats. Woolen suits are popular mainly due to the positive properties of the fibers, but also due to the quality that only natural materials can provide. Its negative side is creasing, which can be uncomfortable on suits, for example, during frequent car trips. That is why we also offer so-called blended suits, in which wool is supplemented with synthetic materials such as polyester and elastane, ensuring a wrinkle-free finish. Synthetic materials Polyester, polyamide or elastane are made from petroleum and their positive properties include durability , flexibility , quick drying and the aforementioned wrinkle-free finish . These materials are more affordable than natural materials. However, they are less permeable and "airy" compared to them. So when buying, think about what occasions you will wear the suit and how you want to feel in it.

Pants

Pants are a piece of clothing that should really fit you. However, it is not only the cut that is important, but also the material itself, and how it "behaves" on the skin. The legs are not as "hooky" to sweat as the upper body, so pants made of synthetic materials are not a problem.

Our trousers are made mostly of natural materials, especially cotton (in the case of jeans, chinos or five-pocket trousers) and wool (in the case of classic trousers), supplemented with synthetic materials such as polyester, viscose or elastane.

Viscose Viscose is described as a natural material, but also as an artificial one. This is because it is produced by grinding wood into a mass of pure cellulose, but a large amount of chemicals are needed to create it. It resembles cotton to the touch, it is smooth , flowing , but it is not that durable. Viscose fiber is soft, absorbent and does not form static electricity. The disadvantages of viscose are less durability and shrinkage. Elastane Thanks to the viscose content, trousers are smoother and more pleasant on the skin. Polyester ensures less shrinkage and elastane (also called Spandex or Lycra) their elasticity. Elastane fibers can stretch to at least three times their length and return to their original size after releasing the tension.

Pullovers and sweaters

A soft and warm pullover or sweater is the best piece of clothing for cold weather. The pullovers and sweaters in our offer are made of wool, which (as we have already mentioned) is breathable and has thermal insulation and thermoregulation properties. The wool in our pullovers is supplemented with acrylic, a synthetic material that has a similar texture, strength and elasticity to wool. However, like other artificial materials, it is not breathable, does not warm and "electrifies", thereby attracting dirt. It is well maintained, but has a tendency to pill. Acrylic Acrylic is included in our pullovers and sweaters, along with wool, precisely to combine their good properties and make our products more affordable for you.

Accessories

Accessories like ties , bow ties , handkerchiefs , and scarves complete your look, so you shouldn't underestimate the material they're made from.

Our handmade silk accessories are very pleasant to the touch and wear, and they look truly luxurious.

Silk Silk fibers are formed from the cocoon of a caterpillar, in which it transforms into a butterfly. They are among the finest natural fibers. Silk is soft , breathable and, like wool, has excellent thermoregulatory capabilities - it cools in summer and warms in winter. It has a delicate pearlescent sheen and is used alone, but also with wool, cashmere, angora or mohair.
