Style Guide – Definitívny návod, ako na pulóvre

Guys, autumn is definitely here. It's raining, the leaves are falling, Indian summer is nowhere to be found... Even those champions among us who still haven't accepted this harsh reality and are walking around with frozen bare hands are slowly starting to realize that it might be nice to put on an extra layer in the morning. But if you don't know which one, we're here for you again. If you've ever been confused about pullovers in your life, here's a brief and understandable guide on how to handle autumn in a sweater this year.

In the neck always and everywhere

V-neck sweater

If you don't like to speculate in front of your closet in the morning, a V-neck sweater is perfect for you. It goes with almost anything and anytime. You can wear it with a suit, a shirt and tie, a jacket, or just with pants and a shirt. But be careful, a T-shirt is probably the only thing that doesn't go well with a V-neck sweater!

Crewneck

Crewneck

Crewneck, in our part of the world known as the O-neck sweater, would be considered by many to be exclusively a weekend companion. What a mistake. Crewneck looks great paired with a shirt and even, in some cases, a tie. However, you need to be careful to have a nicely tied knot, as it will be dominantly visible. All you need to do is choose a sweater in a soft color, without a pattern, with a minimal weave, and you'll have an outfit that's perfect for work.

Turtleneck

Turtleneck

Turtlenecks, like crewnecks, are something many of us prefer to save for more casual days. As we demonstrated in our previous Style Guide, they can also act as a great substitute for a shirt under a jacket. Give it a try and a thin turtleneck will not let you down.

Padded pullover

Padded pullover

We at Alain Delon are always in favor of bold combinations of sporty and elegant clothing. Well, with one exception. Gentlemen, please leave the padded sweaters at home during the work week. Yes, we understand, they are comfortable and soft. But you don't go to town in slippers, no matter how comfortable they are. A nice padded sweater will look even better with jeans on a cold weekend. Choose ones with a subtle pattern and non-aggressive color combinations. And especially, those of us who are not eighteen anymore, let's try to avoid hoods and huge inscriptions.
