Style Guide - firemná párty
Dressing up for a party can be a nightmare. Even more so if you're going to your company's end-of-year party. Should you wear what you normally wear to work? Won't that be too boring? Or can you show off your usual weekend face? Luckily, this year you can stop worrying. Once again, Alain Delon Journal is here to help! Three of our colleagues are choosing outfits for you so you can shine like a Christmas tree at this year's Christmas party.

Ján Smatana - Creative Director

The end-of-year company party should not be taken lightly.

“There’s that guy in every office who people talk about for months after the party. Don’t be that guy. Fly low. Having a few more drinks than you should with your boss may seem like a good idea, but trust me, it never is. Have fun, but take care of yourself. The same goes for your outfit. Don’t wear your usual weekend outfit. You don’t have to wear a slick suit, but that doesn’t mean you should show up in a T-shirt and ripped jeans. Opt for plain dark denim or dress pants with a nice striped shirt. Accessorize with a red sweater and you’ve got a Christmas look.”

Viera Gieciová - Image Consultant

Go crazy if you like it.

“My opinion is the opposite. I think this is the time of year when you can show your true colors to those around you. If you like to party on the weekends, bring a little of that animal to work. If you’re feeling bold, why not pair your navy suit with a bold cotton bow tie and sneakers? Italian style, which we’re not so used to here, is a guarantee of success. Small details go a long way and this outfit definitely won’t go unnoticed.”

Roman Čakloš - Business Director

Be something in between.

"I think it's best to walk a middle ground between the two extremes. Show your colleagues that you can have fun, but not so much that they start gossiping. And the same goes for your outfit, as well as your party demeanor. Both light and dark denim work great, unless of course your party is black tie. Make sure your jeans are slim-cut and solid in color. The key is to keep it simple, natural. Pair your pants with a wool blazer, checkered for a winter look, or a navy club blazer for a slightly more elegant look. Open your shirt one more button than usual, put a colorful handkerchief in your jacket pocket, and you're ready to rock'n'roll!
