A proper breakfast starts the day better than anything else. A table full of delicious food, fruits, vegetables, fresh juice, coffee and tea, a newspaper in hand, jazz music slowly flowing from the radio… A great idea. Unfortunately, in most households, the harsh reality is a little different and is closer to a banana eaten in the elevator while tapping on the phone. Stress-free mornings are often a weekend privilege, if at all.
And if, like us, you need a good cup of coffee to start, the great news is that Žufaňa regularly has various varieties on the grinder from the British roaster HasBean Coffee. We dare say that their double espresso can compete with the best cafes not only in Bratislava, hats off.
If you are in the Žufana area later in the day, they will be happy to serve you their soups and dishes from the daily menu, prepared with the same love as the breakfast ones.
Žufaňa immediately found a loyal following among the people of Ružinovce. You can see the staff chatting amicably with the regulars while their children play in the small children's corner. An atmosphere that motivates everyone to slow down a bit and enjoy (not only) the morning.
Whether you're craving a good breakfast or lunch, don't hesitate to stop by Žufana . We can be grateful to three young ladies, Eva, Kristína and Jana, for turning a rushed morning into a pleasant experience every now and then.

However, we at Alain Delon Journal cannot imagine walking into the office door without the morning comfort of a big breakfast. Thanks to a new magical bistro called Žufaňa, which recently opened its doors on Dulova Square, there is now a place where everyone can enjoy a proper breakfast, and especially at any time.Žufaňa is a hidden treasure among the old houses of Bratislava's Ružinov, a place that turns breakfast dreams into reality. Founded by three friends, their goal was to create a space where guests become friends and the staff become family.
From the moment you step inside, you feel at home, which is exactly how the owners wanted it. It's not for nothing that they like to call Žufaňa a public living room. You sit in comfortable Halabala armchairs, reminiscent of your grandparents' furniture, and you are immediately surrounded by the atmosphere of home, where time beautifully slows down. But it's not just the furniture that takes you back in time. Home cooking using grandma's recipes is the mantra here. As soon as you start eating semolina porridge or a plate of sausages and mustard, your mind goes back to five years ago, sitting in a block of flats' kitchen. And then there's the scrambled eggs with onions. There are so many ways to make scrambled eggs. But one bite is all it takes to understand that there's beauty in simplicity and tradition. The eggs are also accompanied by pieces of crunchy radish, which ties it all together beautifully. Simple, but amazing. Add some fresh homemade bread and you'll definitely not be crawling around the office walls hungry at eleven. If you're looking for a healthy start to your day, try the Žufane specialty, homemade porridges and spreads that change on the menu almost every day. Plus, freshly squeezed fruit juices will give you a head start on your recommended daily fruit intake.
